داستان در زمانی اتفاق میوفته که 70% انسان ها در فضا زندگی میکنن برای ساختن شهرهای فضایی . بین دو قدرت بزرگ یعنی .. The Dorushia Military Pact Federation و Atlantic Ring United States معروف به (ARUS) یک کشور کوچک بی طرف به نام Jiouru وجود داره که درش رونق اقتصادی خوبی جریان داره . Tokishima, Haruto یک پسر دبیرستانی هست که در Jiouru زندگی میکنه .. یک ربات انسان نما پیدا میکنه به نام Valvrave وقتی که ارتش Dorushia حمله کردن و .. وقتی اسم شرکت Sunrise به میان میاد همیشه باید دو قدرت بزرگ در حال جنگ باشن و در این بین رباتی بی طرف پیدا بشه و بخواد بین این دو گروه صلح برقرار کنه مثل سری انیمه های Gundam ولی مثل اینکه این بار ما پروژه بسیار بزرگی رو روبروی خودمون داریم .. این سری از اون سری های تکراری Sunrise نخواهد بود .. داستان به نظر من در نگاه اول تکراری میاد .. دوباره دو قدرت بزرگ و یک کشور ضعیف و بی طرف که بین این دو قدرت بزرگ گیر کرده .. حال به جای اینکه ما یک Gundam داشته باشیم یک Valvrave داریم .. چیزی که باعث میشه من بگم این انیمه با سری قبلی فرق خواهد داشت .. تیم کارگردانی اون هست .. با این تیم کارگردانی ما انیمه ای نخواهیم داشت که همه چی اون در نبرد ربات های غول پیکر خلاصه بشه ..

In the 71st year of the True Era, humans have successfully expanded into space and have started living in independent galactic colonies.
